India since time immemorial has been known across the world for its rich culture and heritage and we as a true Indians have immensely taken a big pride in all its respect in keeping up with the fervour. The undying spirit and heightened enthusiasm with which every religion celebrates their own belief can only be enjoyed and witnessed in the country like ours and no where else.
We are truly blessed to have been born in a country where multiple religious faiths coexist with each other in a complete harmony and that’s the true essence of Indian culture which incorporates all the diverse religions under one umbrella called India.
But do we really live up-to our belief system and follow in the principles of truthfulness and non violence and actually surrendering our lives to humanity without getting infested with biases against any sex creed or class.
Unfortunately the answer remains no for many who subjugate others in the name of God and traditions which is an unfounded basis behind their immoral conduct.
Females are still treated in Islamic religion as a weaker lot and they have miserably failed to achieve for themselves an equal staus with their counterparts. In Hindu mythology goddess durga has been worshipped as a super natural entity symbolism of inner strength and courage. Females are given great respect in Hindu religion and Hindu goddess command immense respect.
it is a matter of disgrace to see in many Hindu families where the birth of a female child is not rejoiced and rather it is kept under wraps .stories are in galore to prove how many times women in every society have been tormented and intolerable pain had been inflicted upon them all in the society where female goddesses are worshipped and honored.
Heinous crimes are seen to be conducted against less privileged class and there still can be seen a great divide between the two sections of society.
It is time we contemplate are we really living in a progressive society which has resolved to grow beyond all the dictums and ideologies set by few powerful people and let everyone enjoy equal rights and opportunities or we have pledged to stay blind to anything immoral happening around us and worship only the deity and make no effort to evoke that Devine spirit in us think about it?
